Hello, newbie here from mid-Georgia.

I have a small country place with a little over a dozen acres, and about 4 or 5 that I mow.

My assortment of Husqvarna stuff is:
Mower, GTH26vLS
Mower, Rider 155
2 Hus string trimmers
1 Hus wheeled string trimmer
1 Hus pruning chain saw
and
2 Husqvarna T-shirts + a Hus cap :)

This list, of course, doesn't include my SO's long list of Husqvarna sewing equipment. That's another story...

A couple of pictures of my two Husqvarnas:

Husqvarna Rider 155.jpg

Bought the Husqvarna Rider 155 in '02 and mowed >3 acres twice a week for 10 years. Probably well over 2500 hours on it. Only replaced all three spindles other than routine maintenance. Other than just mowing weeds and lawn, it served me well for hurricane cleanup after Hurricane Ike. Poor little thing was used to drag and haul trees, limbs, and other debris like a tractor. Surprisingly, it survived. It still mows grass golf course smooth, but the little Kohler engine has started smoking a little. If it died today I'd say it's been a great mower. My best calculation is that the Rider has something over 2500 hours on it.

Husqvarna GTH26V52LS.JPG

This is our Husqvarna GTH26V52LS bought in 2012 after our move from Texas to mid-Georgia. Its main job is mowing the dam bank which is about a 25 degree slope. The little Rider 155 just couldn't handle the slope, so we picked up the GTH. Unfortunately the GTH also didn't have enough traction, but not due to lack of power. We tried a number of things like filling the tires with water, etc. without success. Finally we added 50 pound weights to both rear wheels, changed the turf tires to ATV all terrain tires, and traction problem was resolved. It now basically is used for just heavy weed mowing and has about 150 hours on the clock.

Both mowers receive the best of maintenance twice per year with filter changes more often as needed.
