I picked up this L.B. repair manual when I bought my first L.B. used. Proved to be invaluable.

You can find those printed manuals on eBay from time to time.

You can download (for free) a lot of tech info on old LBs here.

It makes good reading in the can; I have to admit. I have learned more about Lawn Boys there, than anywhere else. Setting the govenor springs and the altitude adjustments are something that would be tough to get right, without the manual's instruction.
