I've got a few Honda mower engines. Two of them use the air guide gaskets, two use the metal air guides. Anyone know the reason Honda moved away from the metal air guides? Was it a heat issue, maybe causing vapor locking? Or was it just a cost issue? If there was an issue with the metal air guides, I'll replace them with the air guide gaskets (I've got a few spares).
