Gator Blade for MX5060

The Hi-Lift blade number is 115-5059-03 which is available all day long, (to fit a 50" deck Toro MX5060) but I'm told that Gator Blade equivalents aren't available. And, maybe that's true...

I wonder if that so though, or if my supplier doesn't carry them and wants to sell what he has in stock.

What say you?

P.S. My google-fu isn't strong so I didn't find the answer though I've tried...

Thanks!

If they make a gator blade for that mower it will most likely be a G3. Your Hi-lift blade should be 17 1/2" long with a 5/8" center hole correct?

Ric,

I apologize for not responding sooner.

I've been away.

Yes, 17.50 length and 5/8 center hole.

A G3 you say?

Who would I contact to be certain / buy from?

Thanks

Go to the dealer where you purchased the mower or for that fact any dealer should be able to tell you what gator blade will work and sell you one. I say the G3 because the G5 and G6 blades are commercial and they are wider, thicker and a lot heavier than the G3. I get all my gator blades from the dealer where I purchased the mowers.

Ric,

Thanks for the good advice.

I looked at the G3 Gator and this is what I found that "might" (or not) work?
G3 Gator Mulcher Blade
Part Number: 96382

Specs
Equipment Type Commercial Mower
Sold individually
Deck Size 50" Cut
Center Hole 5/8"
Thickness .164"
Width 2.25"
Air Lift 1
Offset 7/16
Length 17-1/2"

With some exception, most of the above matches the high lift blades I currently use. (I was advised by one person that if the length and center hole are the same, "and they are", then I'm good to go, but that person's knowledge is questionable...

The exceptions are as follows: The thickness and width are slightly different. The current blades I use are .156 thick and the width is 2 1/8". The offset definition and airlift isn't something I have any knowledge about - so I wasn't able to compare them. It was speculated by someone else (who wasn't certain) that the Gator blades may strike each other once the blades are engaged. That isn't something I want to find out by doing.

But man, if I can find Gator blades that will work, that's what I want.

Thanks for your interest and help.
