Im looking for a 7601092MA gas tank the briggs and stratton original is 66$-80$. The other cheap plastic 30$ gas tanks ive seen reviews stating they melted from the gas or leaked at the middle where there welded together.

Don't go cheap when it comes to a fuel tank.

I prefer the older thick wall black plastic design because they last, but most manufacturers have gone to the cheaper white plastic which breaks down from ultraviolet exposure.

Do they make the 7601092MA fuel tank for the mower in durable black plastic? Just the pushmowers have black plastic.

They do not make that particular part number in a black plastic, it would have to be a different number, and it would take some research using just the dimensions of your tank.

Typically, older Bolen's, Poulan, Snapper, Lawn Pro and Murray riders had the small back fuel tanks that were similar.

AYP and MTD models have made many black or white plastic fuel tank configurations over the years.

Paint the white one black.

Gently scuff it with a green pad. Hit it with a plastic primer. Lay on some plastic black base color. It ain't the space program guys.

Slomo, read the first post, he’s looking for a cheaper tank that doesn’t breakdown or leak. I doubt color makes a difference.
