gas spitting out of muffler

Hi everyone I am a new member so bare with me thanks.My tractor starts but it starts to smoke out of the muffler due to gas and oil comming from it not to much and then it back fires (not to loud)not sure where to begin can anyone give me some advice? thanks

I world tell you to stop using it, seems that its flooding and the fuel is going into the oil, so clean and recheck the carb, then drop the old oil that you may find fuel in, replace with new oil.

HI Thanks alot I will do that and I want to put in a shut-off valve in between gas tank and carb.

Don't be disappointed when you restart the engine after cleaning the carb that the engine will still smoke for a few minutes, which it will do burning off the old oil.
