Gas coming out overflow on lx188 John Deere how to fix?

On my John Deere lax 188 when I shut it off gas comes out the carb vent on the top what do I need to do to fix it.

You will need to remove, clean, and install a carb repair kit. Make sure to shake the float to make sure there is no gas in the float causing it to sink.
