G2000 valves

Hi All,

I have a G2000 that has some oil dripping on manifold, I pulled the valve cover (see pics), and wanted to check the gasket, found a couple breaks in a soft gasket except for about 3" or 4" that was stuck in place and hard. It was located where the red arrows are pointed on the A side. question, does anyone know if the burned area due to the gasket leaking or valve(s)?

Note: below the burned area, is the exhaust manifold.

Thanks in advance.

If engine is not using or burning oil out of exhaust, you're not having to add any oil, clean up valve covers, adjust valves per manufacturers specs., install new valve cover gasket and torque bolts per mfg. specs.

Yes it's due to gasket leaking and heat from exhaust manifold.
