Love the pose of the first picture with the open door and the "mascots" on the sides. Bet your kitty does not get to play with the other three pets.

Yeah, I was surprised to get that picture, she doesn't usually sit there for very long.

A fine looking "herd" if that is the proper term....how many do you have and what are the weights of young and old? And, what are they raised for...bisonburgers?

There got to be a couple hundred kickin around here.
I never seem to get an accurate count.
Calves are in the 100-150 lb category, yearlings 6-800 lb
Cows weigh around 1000-1100 lb ,..and Bulls up to 25-2600 lb.

And yes, some get to be bison burger.:licking:

What you need, my man, is a cow patty, oops, BISON patty collection system, a methane gas generation system, and presto:

Free home heating gas, and a possible gas source for your vehicles.

There's a bike path that I ride frequently and just outside Cedartown, GA there's a field with buffalo -- that field is a major landmark for me as I ride. The problem is that they aren't always there where I can see them.

One day last spring I happened to have my camera with me.

Why is a buffalo's coat uneven sometimes?

That young Buffalo cow in your pic is a healthy looking animal and still in the process of moulding( shedding the thick winter coat)

They usually are cleaned up by mid june. A buffalo that won't shed its coat at all or not completely has a health issue (often internal parasites like worms)

Thanks for explaining that.

I ride by that field pretty in NW Georgia often and am always happy when I get to see the buffalo. For those who haven't seen them except in pictures: they're huge -- about twice the size of a cow.

Actually a lot of beef cows are bigger than buffalo, only the mature Buffalo bulls get bigger than beef bulls.

Many Years ago i had both beef and Bison. i had a polled(no horns) 2200 lb limousin Bull that jumped the fence and got in a scrap with 2 mature horned Buffalo bulls.

To my surprice that Limo beat the crap outa both these big buffalo bulls and send them running.

The Limo had some hide missing and bled from some holes but he survived OK

Orange and white tabby is Piper, 11 years old, only has one kidney. Black and white cat is Zeke, abandoned by his feral mother at 6 weeks old, 3 years old now. Orange tabby is Gizmo, his barn cat mother was killed when he was still a baby, he is 1 1/2 years now. Brown tabby is Tiggs, showed up at our door one bitter cold winter night, think some cruel a----- abandoned him in mid winter.

What lovely cats you have

I wonder how the person would feel to be left out in winter ?

If I knew who it was, I'd show them, I can tell you that.

I always say you can tell if a cat is well looked after by two things:

1) If they look content
2) If they have a good quality coat

Zeke ticks both of those boxes

And he likes computers too, what more could you want ?

Oh, and I probably shouldn't be promoting a site, but there is a good cat forum that I'm a member of. I don't log in that much, but I should because it is very useful and has friendly members - http://www.catforum.com/

Ah, I forgot I had these pictures on my laptop. Here are some pictures of the two kittens (now cats) that lived across the road from us in our old house.

I looked after them a couple of times when the owners went on holiday.

The ginger cat is Princess, and the grey one is Boo.

Since moving away, I really do miss seeing the cats, but I'm sure they are still doing well and are happy.
