Fuel Shut Off Solenoid

I have a Toro 325-D, serial # 30788-30530 with a Mitsubishi motor-K3D, serial # 96469, which

has a 12 v electric fuel stop solenoid. In the Owners Manual, it shows a way to test the solenoid

with a battery. Mine shows me the solenoid is working as it should. My Question is, can I run a

wire from the battery with a 10 amp fuse and an off/on switch to stop the motor. You can stop it now by pushing in the plunger or emergency stop lever.

Before trying to circumvent the electrical system to solve the problem, I suggest you go through the electrical troubleshooting procedures listed in this service manual first. Can you do what you are suggesting, yes anytime is possible, but the fuel injector solenoid is run through a control board and I’m unsure if there are other things connected to it.
