OK, so yesterday it ran fine. tried to use it today and got nothing. I’m going to check for spark. If it is the coil do they still make replacement parts for the fs74? Looking on line for parts and don’t see much. Anyone know how old the FS74 is?

First thing is to check the muffler spark arrester for clogging as Stihl equipment is bad at clogging these up with carbon.
Thanks Startech, I did take off the spark arrester and burned off the carbon, reinstalled it and it fired up. I also put a new spark plug in it. Does this model not have screen on the spark arrester? There was no screen. Any idea how old the FS74 is? My father in law gave this one to me when we cleaned out his barn.
