Been all over tinternet looking for Stihl take down manual as need to repair the throttle switch thingy and it seems it would be a lot easier if I could get the casing off !
For the life of me I cant remove this and do not want to force it and crack it and just cant seem to find an exploded view of the motor end of the unit.
Engineman, what a top bloke just the ticket and super fast thanks matey
Now if I can be cheeky...... any idea how I remove the plastic casing that holds all this? I have taken out the torox bolts and removed the shaft yet for the life of me cant remove the top part of the cream colored plastic-the bit that contains the On Off switch? Every part of it is loose except the area near the spark plug and worried about forcing it and cracking the plastics! Removing this will make my repair so much easier
Just noticed that the first page of that you posted up shows the throttle on the handles whereas mine is a bent shaft with the throttle on top of the shaft and a loop handle part way down it so it's slightly different
