New to this form, I have a Schweiss mower, probably twelve years old. It has a sixty inch hydraulic deck, originally had a kohler engine. I had it replaced with a Kawasaki twenty-five horsepower, four cylinder horizontal shaft engine. The model number is FHD721-ASO5. Been having some issues, when the engine is running and I proceed to go forward, it feels and sounds like it's going to stall. This is with full throttle. When the engine is running and the mower is sitting still and I engage the deck blades, I can't get full capacity on the blades. Things I have done to the mower and motor: new battery, changed oil, checked all electrical, checked for blockage in gas lines, checked solenoid, checked spindles on deck, checked spark plugs which are receiving a good spark, looked through spark plug hole which the crown on both of the pistons are covered with black carbon, checked ignition coils on fly wheel and both are good, completely cleaned outside of engine and it had lots of dirt, gunk, etc, checked carburetor which seems to be fairly clean, checked gas filter, used sea foam in gas tank, and checked electric clutch which is receiving twelve volts. I'm getting ready to take off fly wheel to take off coils which are completely filthy which maybe why I'm not getting full power under a full load. This is worth a shot before I go into cracking the motor open, which I DREAD, but maybe the answer lies within the inside of the motor. I was wondering if anybody has ever had these issues? If you have, please feel free to speak up.
