My front drive quit working today. The left wheel will rotate forward and the right hand wheel will not turn freely forward or backward. Any suggestions?

I did that and the belt is OK. I can't turn the pulley on top of the transmission. That is wheels don't turn. Maybe I need a transmission?
It looks like the transmission assembly is a pretty simple setup. You could pull it apart and see what the problem is. I do see that there is a bearing in it that might need to be replaced. The beveled gear or pinion might be broken or stripped as well. If you dont feel comfortable pulling it apart, you could buy a new tranny. I beleive they are around $75-$80.
