Free roll john deere

I bought an older john deere 175 hydro and am trying to get it to free roll but does not appear to be working. Anyone know any tricks to help get it into free roll?

Look for a knob under the seat maybe or around the back end.I think You may have to push it in and it should free rollView attachment 22570 you can see it to the left of the seat spring if your is like mine. If your is not like mine then just look around for a knob and push the knob at the same time you push the mower.

Mine is 175 hydro and has lever in front under front of the seat. When I turn it I'd does not release transmission so it can be pushed.

I got to roll while keeping knob turned. Is there a way to keep it in free roll or do I have to also keep knob turned.

I think you have to keep the knob turned while you push. sorry
