I needed to do a ring job on my Bad Boy 0 turn, or find another eng. I ran across a Husqvarna rider on CL that had a 22hp Kawasaki Vtwin, the mower had less than 170hrs on it, and ran like new with no leaks what so ever, the mower had always been garage kept, the problem with the mower was that the hydro pump was bad. So I bought the mower for the eng. to install on my bad boy, of course I'm having to do this in my spare time, so I don't get to make a lot of progress at a time, but I'm getting there, I got the Kawasaki now mounted on the Bad Boy, and wired up, the Kawasaki eng. has a solenoid mounted on the starter like a chevy, the bad boy has a solenoid mounted on the mower. Since I prefer the solenoid on the mower I used this diagram to bypass the solenoid on the Kawasaki:Remote Starter Solenoid Instructions I plan to part out the rest of the Husqvarna hence the title Free Engine! Hope to install the pulley's, and clutch tomorrow as well as hook up throttle and choke, the throttle will be a straight forward to hook up, but I'm gonna have to get creative with the choke. Here are some pic's hope to finish tomorrow will post final pic's when swap is complete.:thumbsup:nm.jpg

I forgot to mention a few of the other mods that I've made on this mower, that might be of interest. I use car parts when I can, they are usually cheaper, and more heavy duty than the parts for the lawn mower. I've installed a ford solenoid, an inline car fuel filter, and a car battery. My wife said that I was going to keep putting car parts on my mower till I would have to get a tag for it. LOL:wink:

It's almost finished, still have some throttle and choke issues to work through, but it's usable, I plan to mow all day with it tomorrow.

PS
I'm going to leave the back half of the mower off till I get my choke issue fixed. Will take more pic's when I get the back half on.

Update mowed all last season with no engine issues, and sold enough parts off the donor mower to get my money back and then some.

Good for you, now that's thinking. Maybe you could post some part numbers where you used Ford parts instead of mower parts so some of us can beef up our machines like yours. Badboy/Ford thats great. Thanks for your posts.

lol, here goes: solenoid is from 1986 ford pu, part# Starter Solenoid Standard SS598T, the fuel filter is just a standard inline automotive fuel filter, they come in several sizes, get one close to the size that you need. See attached pic's
