All, the oil drain has a reducer, standard drain hole is M20-2.50, Does anyone know the size & thread it is being reduced down to fit the tube adapter?

Has anyone replaced this with a EZ-Drain oil valve? I want to make sure there is clearance for it to screw into the engine before purchasing. thanks Ray

The M-20 is a metric thread. The correct EZ drain is supposed to be direct fit.

Sir you need to contact Bobcat on this or get a couple thread pitch gauges and a caliper. The hose assembly is custom made hose for Bobcat. If the hose manufacture was smart they would use metric fittings on both ends but they could used a NPT or SAE on the exit end. This why I have both Metric and SAE tap and die sets plus several additional taps and dies that were not included as some are optional sizes or I needed ones larger than sets had. At least I haven't needed any of the British taps and dies yet.

Kawasaki has their own drain valve assembly that the end user must supply a hose for. The main problem is accessing the valve which Bobcat probably made nearly impossible to get to. Here I just use a pneumatic oil extractor on most engines except on those engines that the dipstick tube is too small.

Hi Buddy, per what I have read the oil drain in M20-2.50 thread, the only 20MM EZ drain I have located is 20MM-1.5 thread.

That is the same info I found and I can verify that the engine drains are M20-2.50 threaded. From what I can tell is that Bob-cat had a custom hose made with a drain valve on the end.

Now Drainzit does make a drain hose assembly that directly screws into the engine. It does not have valve on the end instead it has screw on cap. It is PN 1420K. It is only 14" long so that might be problem. Also I don't the specs for the drain cap end but suspect is smaller therefore one EX drain valves may work on although a female to male adapter might be needed.

On Ebay I have seen drain hoses from Kawasaki that are 16" long & are correct for the M-20 2.50 thread.

Thanks for the PN and the best stable price deal on that hose is from Proparts Direct which beats my Kawasaki distributor price. But are with a few dollars of each when shipping is included.

As for length I get couple different ones as on Amazon they claiming it is 15" and other sources are claiming 16".

Buddy, thank you, that is a solid solution if necessary. I have submitted a request to Bobcat, I'll wait and see what become of it before I shell out $50 for 16" of hose with a couple fittings...Cheers, Ray
