I have a 1987 Ariens YT 11 tractor that is actually in great condition for its age. One previous owner in all that time. The transmission is getting worse and parts are no longer avaiable. This is a Foote 3 speed with Hi-Lo range. Ads for a used transmission have proved fruitless. Any other transmison that would bolt up? Hi-Lo range isn't required

That sounds like what's in my Sears Craftsman GT tractor. 917.255980 Yours is a smaller tractor but trans. might be the same?
