I wore through the front wheel of my 8243AE (1987) and committed to buying a group of parts to refresh everything that was damaged.
The flywheel screen was damaged and I removed it a couple years ago.
When I looked at the parts diagram, there are two versions.
1) Screen F'wheel S 611375
2) Screen F'wheel PL 610745
There isn't any guidance at LawnBoys site to explain what S and PL mean. I looked around the internet and found a picture of one, but there was a piece of paper over the center, and a lot of the other pictures always had a hole in the center. I remember mine as fully closed, as it is electric start.
I looked in the obvious boxes where I would have saved the broken part, but things hide after you move to a new home.
Does anyone understand what S and PL mean?
I was also in the market for a new Control Cable 682685, and noticed the picture on many websites had a "STENs" watermark. Are these third party replacements as good as the OEM parts?
Thanks, Mike
