Small yard but dont want it to be a nightmare every week. Husband and I in our 50's and non mechanical! Overwhelmed with all the info and opinions but need some input for sure. Honda seems to be one that gets decent response. Also Toro. Had hoped to spend $200-$300 but dont know if thats realistic. Found a guy who repairs and resells and maybe something older is better made? One is a Suzuki commercial grade model 20624 that you dont need to add oil which sounded kind of nice but I couldnt find reviews. He also has John Deere JS63. Thanks much for the opinions.

What ever your going to consider buying - take it onto some grass and walk behind it . JD have great steering with the swivel front wheels but have cheap cables for drive levels on the handles.
Toro have great paced ground speed . We sell a lot of cub cadet 22 inch self propelled.

Start it and walk behind it before buying it .

The 20624 is a great mower, with one problem. The replacement batteries run $70-80. They were built for three years, 1986-88, so the used one you looking at is at least 20 years old. If it has electric start I would stay away from it.
