New to forum and need help. My daughter cleans houses and asked me to mow a lawn at one of her clients. This lawn is a sight. It looks like it's been cut for a long time and left to dry and just sit on the lawn. Dead grass everywhere from laying on top of the grass to the roots. Other than the dead grass everywhere it looks good. no weeds, real thick. I would like to know what I need to do to get this lawn back into a managable state instead of the mess it's in now. I cut yesterday with a 5hp lawnboy commercial, and had the engine bog down many times while mulching. Please help. thanks in advance.

Water and a bagger is all it will take to get it back. Now if patches of grass are too far gone then some grass seed and water. Common theme is water.
thanks guys, I was thinking the same about bagging, some of the old grass is really matted, and pushed down towards the ground, I'll give it a try. thanks again.
