Is anyone using the Fire HD 8, 8" HD Display, Wi-Fi, 8 GB Amazon Tablet? Thinking about one and wondered if anyone had any thoughts.

Well we purchased the Fire 8 and it seems to be a great addition for me and work. It will do anything that my computer will do and does it well and on the go if need be provided you can connect to wi-fi.
It does have a ton of apps / free downloads available through Amazon but if your looking for apps from an outside source I wish you luck, that's not to say you still can't have the sites you have on your computer or others you just go to those sites and bookmark what you want using there Silk Browser and there's no problem.
The Fire 8 comes in the 8gb or 16gb but both are upgrade-able to 128 gb with the SD card. If your one of those who are into downloading a ton of apps the Apple Ipods offer a whole lot more apps than Amazon.
The Amazon Fire 8 is no Apple Ipod granted but it's also cost half the price at $149.00 or $177.00 with cover and two screen protectors and 30 days Amazon Prime if your into Movies.

I've had mine for over a year and have had NO problems and it stock. I know some people can use the memory upgrade because they complain about running out.

My wife bought one about a year ago, I used it several times and it worked just fine, last Christmas we gave it to a grandson and he uses it for Internet and games and really likes it.

Yeah I added the 64 GB to mine, it was only $22.00 for the scan-disk micro-mini card from amazon and you get free two day shipping. If your into gaming and download a bunch of pictures it's nice to have the space.
