What kind of filters are you guys running on your Kaw powered Husky M-ZT's with the ZT 3400 drives ? My Kaw engine manual doesn't give me a number for the oil filter at least I haven't found it yet, I think it might be 49065- 7007. And my parts manual says the filters for the ZT-3400 drives are 539-113466. I did a search on this number with no luck, I found Hydro gear filters but not my number. My dealer wants 28.92 ea. for this filter I would think I could surely do better than that elsewhere , thanks.

Which Kawa engine do you have??? The filters for the ZT-3400 trannies can be gotten for $.975 apiece plus shipping at the website in the following link:

Hydro Gear 52114, Lawn Mower Parts Cross-Referencing

P.S.
I am using the Kawasaki oil filters(so far...2 oil changes) and I think that 7007 is what my FX-691V uses. The part# in your manual for the hydro filters must be a Husky xref#....I have the ZT-3400's and the link I gave you IS the correct filter for them.

Kawasaki doesn't make the oil filter selection easy:0(
On their website, I found the 49065-7010 as the replacement oil filter the first time I searched. I bought one from my dealer and when I went to change it there was a 49065-7007 on it from the factory. Both the 7007 and 7010 show up as filters for your engine and mine, but I stuck with what came on the engine. There is also a 49065-7008 that shows my engine but not yours. Pretty confusing, huh? You may want to wait until you are ready to change the oil, take off the old filter and then get another that matches it. Or ask your dealer to see what he says. Below is a link the the kawawebsite for your engine where you can click on Parts catalog and look parts up. Good luck on that one:0)

I think I will probably just buy my oil filters at the dealer that's about the cheapest I've found for a Kaw oil filter I found them cheaper on line but once you add the shipping their more expensive. Found a Ebay seller in Texas that has them for $ 10 ea. and he has 7 of them I asked him about combined shipping on all 7 but he won't budge off the Ebay shipping quote. As far as the Hydro Gear filters I find the one you use and a few others but I can't find my filter # and I don't know if your filter is the same as mine with just a different # or what. I think I'll call Napa and see if they can cross reference the filter to one of their gold filters or see if they can even get the HG filter but Napa can be pretty expensive at times. I don't know if its my browser or what but I can't make your links work DJ.

I use Google Chrome browser and links on these forums work fine. If you are using Microsoft I. E. Explorer you may have to hold down the Control button and click on the links. If you have the ZT-3400 trannies I am 99.9% certain that the HydroGear replacement filters for $9.75 each I gave you a link to will work. My Gravely has HydroGear ZT-3400 trannies and a ZT-3400 is a ZT-3400 regardless of the brand of ZTR it is on. Try going to www . hyperparts . com(all together...I separated it so the forum software wouldn't change it into a link). In the search box enter Item# 52114 and you should find the HydroGear filter. If you are unsure, call your dealer and ask what the "HydroGear Part#" for your ZT-3400 filters is. Another appoach may be to go to the HydroGear parts website at www . hydrogearpartsstore . com(all together) and look on your trannies for the HydroGear label, write down the numbers on it and then enter the numbers in their search box. It is after all a HydroGear part, not a Husqvarna part. Good luck finding your engine oil and tranny oil filters!!

I've been on those web sites DJ and I used the numbers out of my part book and the site couldn't find the part numbers. Like you said I need to get the numbers off the trans and try it. That does work holding down on the control button DJ thanks .
