Want to sell my old cub cadet ztr 50 inch. 22 up Briggs. 290 hours. 8 years old. Pto/clutch repair needed as blade do not engage. Everything else in good/fair used condition. What would be a fair asking price knowing why a new mower cost in your apps opinion?

I personally would fix it,otherwise you may be giving it away.....I had the same issue with my Wheel Horse(transmission issues)..now that I have a ZT mower I decided having the additional capabilities of a garden tractor was worth it.

If it were a garden tractor I likely would keep and fix, but for a 9 year old zero turn cub, I would like to get what I can out of it. I have it down to the clutch as the most likely issue with blades not engaging. I can replace with new clutch at approximately 200.00-300.00 (at least that is what I was told and looking at price seems reasonable). Was told by one guy that fixes and sells used lawn equipment that if it were working/mowing a 9 year old cub ztr with 300 hours and some deck rust might go around 700.00. As I have never dealt in used, did not know if that was right...and if so...what would be fair to ask about a fixer like it is now?
