I have gotten a few yards from facebook. Lately I have been searching for old friends from high school. Before, my facebook was just used by me to stay share with close friends and family. Now I'm trying to get my friend count up in hopes of getting even more yards.

In my area and I am sure it is every where there a pages that are buy sell and trade pages and speak out pages that I advertise on as wel as my page. I have gotten my friends list up to 2500 and one of these buy sell and trade pages has something like 5000 people on it. Utilizing this is puts my advertising in front of more people than many things that I wold pay a lot of money for and it is totally free.

We use Facebook and it works great if I'm giving something away. Shirts hats promotional garbage but I'm not really sure how much actual cash it's generated. Mostly people just like looking at the pictures or asking questions, i think. I'm not very good with it though. I'm not familiar with this sharing thing your talking about. How does that work?

There are groups on there for various areas. I live on Monroe County Alabama for instance and there are pages like Monroe County Buy Sell and Trade, and Monroe County Yard sale, and Monroeville Speak out and so forth. I just post an ad on there a couple of times a week and others plus I have like 2500 friends on my friends list.

I am pretty sure that there are groups for about every where I wold imagine......

Social media is a great way to get your name known these days. It's used daily by so many people worldwide so I would say it's a good option for you!

I posted a picture of my two little girls helping me pass out flyers yesterday on facebook and got requests by two women for quotes. Got both if the yards today. They couldn't resist the cuteness.

With advertising you have got to think what you would do if looking for a service or to buy.
Social media is a good thing and is certainly the futre but when i look for anything i always go google 1st.
A small web page with contact details is better imo.
Most people google them get the phone number and call.
