Hi
I need to fit a new deck belt to a F1145 60" deck
It has a driveshaft to the gearbox on the deck
can I slide the inner shaft out of the driveshaft to remove the deck from the tractor or will this cause problems with re-assembly ?
The problem I have is getting the belt round the gearbox pulley, I think I have to remove the gearbox to get the belt round this pulley
does anyone know an easy way to do this or is it just a matter of removing the blades and lifting the gearbox ?
thanks in advance

john deere f1145 front mower | eBay
John Deere does not have Service Repair Shop Technical Manuals for free online, this is a good deal on ebay, a new manual will be close to $100 or more.

I have the workshop manual which shows how to total rebuild the gearbox but not how to remove it :frown:
Can anyone advise how to get the belt off/on ?

Thank you very much for that Mark
Mines a F1145 60" rear discharge but the layout looks the same so I will give that a try
