Exmark won't start. New solenoid, key & battery.

I have a 2000 Exmark LazerZ. Just put a new solenoid, key switch and battery. I can jump across the solenoid with a screw driver and start it but it will not start with the key. I don't know what else to do.

have you checked the safety switches? and after you got it running,did you try to engage the pto while sitting on the seat?it should possibly kill the mower once engaged.
