exmark transmission wont prime / move?

had a leaking shaft seal on my right side transaxle on an exmark phazer. pulled it out, lost all oil, replaced seal put back in. pulled check plug, filled with 20-50 full synthetic mobil 1, and did the purge procedure, wont move. i have been letting it run, jacked up with the handles forward for 3 hours now. it will kick the tire if i pull the trans release then engage it back. but wont stay moving. what could be wrong?

Hey Buddy,,,,,Had the same problem with a TORO TIMECUTTER,
In the end i got a friend to to move the handles back and forth
while i moved the wheels by hand,eventually it started to drive.
After about 5 mins it was fine.Hope this helps

done all of that. at this point im assuming something is failing inside. the only time the tire moves is as soon as i close the bypass valve. i purged that thing 20 different ways for 4 hours yesterday

I have had to purge the system multiple times before it worked

I know this didn't help any but i am just subscribing so i can follow this thread.

Probably stupid statement but is the oil level correct???
I guess you already looked at this but i know the toro,s
loose drive even if the level down just a fraction..

Is their a drive release? I know on my Exmarks the have a 9/16 bolt that you can loosen to push the mower around in case it doesn't start or you want to move it without starting it.
