I have a Exmark Lazer Z HP, model #LHPUV4448, Serial No 235939 with a Kawasaki 21HP, model FH641V. The engine will intermittantly turn over and start. It will run for a few minutes and then cut off. When I then turn the key, the engine will not turn over. After a period of time, it will then turn over again and this sequence is repeated.

I replaced the ignition coil, ignition switch, and have temporarily bypassed the mercury safety switch and seat safety switch. The oil level and battery are good. I can jump it and turn the engine over with a screwdriver at the ignition coil.

Any help is appreciated!

Your bypassing the safety switch system by doing this.

Start here: Do you have spark when you do the bypass? You obviously have some spark when it's running, so testing for spark should be done when it's acting up.
