Exmark blades not turning

Hi everyone. I’ve got a bit of an issue with my Exmark Lazer Z 72” mower. Out of the blue, it stopped engaging the blades, and now it won’t turn them on at all. When I try engaging the PTO switch, it makes a noise, and then the battery light comes on. I’ve checked the fuses (they look fine) and even put in a new battery, but no luck so far. It was cutting perfectly until the belt fell off. I put the belt back on, but since then, I just can’t get it to work right. Anyone else run into this or have some tips on what to try next? I've purchased a new PTO switch and waiting for it to come in, but unsure if that will resolve the issue. I'm in the Ann Arbor, MI area if anyone has a recommendation for someone to come out and service the machine as well.
