Erosion in valve chambers on my b&s mower engine

Hi all,
I am restoring an old b&s engine and during the inspection I found pitting/ corrosion in the valve chambers (see attached pics).
Should I ignore it and push on or will this pose problems later if left unfixed?

The only thing I see is that the valve seats definitely need to be recut, which will mean you will have to grind the valve faces and lap them in. The pitting you see is only rough casting, which is normal in that area.

That’s reassuring, Thanks Rivets.
Yeah I will lap them in after giving it a wash in some kero.
