Yes there is no binding on anything. I have it running and I switch the PTO on it engages and the engine dies. I can ride all over the yard with no performance problems but the second I hit the switch, it dies. Also when the engine is stopped, I can turn the PTO switch on and off and it makes loud clicks from the engine clutch. The ignition and PTO switches are brand new.
Sounds like a problem with one of the safety switches causing an incomplete circuit when engaged, also inspect the wiring to the switches. Since you have replaced the pto switch, you should be good on it. I would test the seat switch first. Maybe someone on here has a wiring diagram to help you out further.
