Engine replacement

I have a FD671D Kawasaki 23 hp engine on my Turf Tiger Scags
I am going to be needing to replace it in the near future. Starting to blow smoke.
Does anyone know if an FD750D will be an exact fit for replacement.
So far all I can tell is that the 750 has more HP then the 671.
I am aware of the on line engine replacement people, but so far all that they have provided to me was using a different manufacture like Briggs or Kohler.
I like the water cooled Kawasaki and would like to stick with it.
I tried Kawasaki direct but got zero help with this need to know question.

Kawasaki is hiding the engine dimensional specs.

But I do have a customer that upgrade his Scag SST61-23KA with a FD750D-GS02 and it was a direct replacement. His case the PTO shaft was the same his old engine.

any idea what the difference is between FD750D SO2-S AND FD750D GS02
I believe it is just about the engine coming with an accessory like muffler or air filter etc...
I don't think it has any changes to the base mounting or Crank shaft diameter.
You are right, they do hide dimensions of the engine. Can't find it anywhere.
I have the original engine book and it doesn't show it anywhere.

Just waiting on someone to offer up the fix that never fixes anything. Going to heavier oil LOL LOL LOL LOL .

What color smoke is it blowing? Like this?

Okay my distributor support guy says the S02 superseded the GS02.

BTW the -S just means it is a single engine as where -R from a rack of 4 engines.

This is a water cooled engine. There is no shroud or cooling fins.
