I am trying to locate the info on the engine. It is a Kohler Command 20 but the info sticker is missing. I can not find any info anywhere on the engine. Am I missing something. I have the engine bar code that is under the seat for a Dixie Chopper. Is there any way I can trace the numbers for the engine. I need to do some engine work and want to get the correct parts.

Might get lucky using the equipment model number info from the serial number tag. I know some oem will put the engine info in thier IPLs and owners manuals.
Post all the equipment numbers you have and let us give it a try. I’m guessing it’s probably a CV20, but can’t be sure without more info from you. A pic or two of the engine may also help.

It should be one of three of the 20 hp that Kohler made specifically from Dixie Chopper.
Even with right spec. no it is no guarantee you will get the right parts for that engine. Ran into that with the 65594 spec. no engine. Called for 24 153 30-S yellow O-rings but will not work takes the wider black ones.

Yes sometimes techs swap things out and sometimes the OEM supersede items. I got several Kohler engines that have rocker cover changed out to latest versions. These covers were changed back in 2009 during the production run so probably still had the old style installed.
