I have a 15 horse briggs overhead valve 28N707 and I put a new head on it because the old one smoked to bad. well now I don't have any rpm it will start on choke but will not run, what my question is if I didn't adjust the valves right will that do that. I thought I did it like the manual said. but I could have made a mistake. thanks for your help in advance.

Export threadJust wanted to let you know, I found the problem, when I went to adjust the valves, the rocker arm stud was broken off and the rocker arm was just laying in the valve cover. and the alum. push rod was almost bent in half. I tried to find the parts at briggs. but they show everything but the push rods. do you know where I can find them. the steel one looks alright.

I don't know for sure where the closest parts dealer is in your area. When you do find the part though remember, the aluminum rod is intake and the steel rod is exhaust. Good luck.
