So every so often. (It's increasing in frequency) while running my Craftsman gt5000 will puff smoke. I found where the oil leak is coming from I believe. The g drive link below has a video and picture of where I think the oil is coming from. It spurts from the smaller circle from what I can tell. I replaced the carburator about a year prior to this but I don't think it's related. What is the problem? What do I need to buy? And how do I fix it?

Looks like your rocker {valve} cover gaskets are leaking onto exhaust manifold thus smoking when engine running & hot.
Post engine make & all numbers from engine. I would check valve lash with rocker covers off & engine cold. I remove rocker cover bolts with a nut driver & reinstall bolts with nut driver, snug them up hand tight. I clean up rocker covers & put new gaskets on dry.

Did you adjust valves with engine cold? Engine is smoking because it is covered in crud. Pick up a can or two of Gunk spray engine cleaner, place drain pan, cardboard etc. under engine & spray it down & drip dry, do not use water, water & electrical parts create problems, corrosion etc. Valve lash is same for both intake & exhaust valves .004-.006 engine cold.

Replaced the gasket and it's still smoking. It almost looks like it's coming from where the manifold attaches. But idk I just notice it on the bolts. Could it just be residual oil heating up again?
