electrical issue

I have a craftsman Zero turn zts 7500 with B&S motor, my issue is when I start the mower the blade switch has to be on or it wont turn over.
Somehow the switch has swapped where when you engage the blade it is off and when you disengage it is on, so I figured the switch was not making a good contact to the wiring harness plug.
So I unplugged it dusted it off and plugged it back in but had no effect, I am still having the same issue.

Sounds like either the pto switch has been changed to a switch with a different internal setup, or some wires have been switched at some point.
