Hands on, inspect everything electrical, harness, switches, relays, look for bare wires, burn marks, make sure everything is tight and secure, ground straps & cables included.

Did you only check the fuses under the seat? Because my lift also has an in line fuse (or 2 ) near the battery.

Since there is more than one electrical subsystem not working, the two problems are most likely related, but not necessarily. Closely inspect all connectors. Pay close attention to the connector at the PTO clutch. With the engine off and the key on, pull the blade switch up and wiggle on the connector to see if it will click. The pigtail for the PTO clutch only costs $7 and plugs in place in a few seconds. Check the connections for the lift also, but be careful not to put yourself in a situation where it could fall on you or pinch you if it were to start lifting.

The Mower-Direct website has a wiring diagram if you need it.

Hope this helps.

Sorry. It's not Mower Direct, it's "The Mower Shop."

This is for a six series, but they didn't have a 623. All the electrical schematics are very close to the same, so this should be helpful.
