Is there a thread for gas to electric conversions?

Oh boy you would need some very deep pockets. You are better off just buying a factory built electric mower if you wish to change from gas to all electric mower setup as it would cost than a new unit to convert.

Actually I did the conversion in may of '24. Just looking to compare notes with others that have done this, see what I could have done better.

Or a tow behind hydro-electric dam. Could water the grass while you mow. Think this guy is on to something.

Hey look! It's a golf cart with a mower deck. Good for an acre or less of heavy grass cutting? Play the front nine holes, recharge overnight then play the back nine holes.

Does anyone on this forum have useful knowledge derived from hands-on experience with electric conversions, or is this just a daycare level chatroom for the senile.

How many acres will it mow before requiring an overnight recharge?

What is the rate of discharge with both deck motors and drive motor operating at set speeds under load for 10 minutes?

What is the cost of the 36V battery?

Sealed high RPM deck blade drive motors?

Sealed main drive motor?

Power Invertors?

Nothing but Romper Room here fella.

All you are doing is adding to the landfill every 2-4 years with your hazardous batteries. Most places that generate electricity use nuclear (real good for the environment), coal (another winner), crude oil (Arabs) or natural gas. The latter is probably the best out of that group of superstars.

Look most us are not experimenters with deep pockets [ie large bank accounts]. Just let the big boys do all the research and experimenting and we can learn from them later if they ever provide the necessary repair info.

And to Honest Abe at least Joe did have knowledgeable people working for the government instead of a bunch of yes men and women that have no knowledge of what they are doing. Like having a lawyer running the Health portion of the government that suppose to be looking out for us. Or having some pod caster with no experience in another critical government office. We need knowledgeable people running these government offices not just some yes man or woman.

And it is just like we need knowledgeable people working on our equipment. Or not having someone from McDonalds with no medical training being our Primary care doctor or surgeon. Doc to patient "You want fries with that?.

Ya, you're probably right ..... Joe had some fine people, like Samual Brinton" who was only in charge of the Department of Energy and Admiral Rachel Levine. Outstanding choices!!!

If everybody was same it would be pretty darn boring and confusing World. IF a person can do the job then I can't complain. BTW all my kids have feathers.

I meet a woman about 25 years ago that was 6'5 and from the back you would had swore she was a man with long hair. BTW she had all the right equipment just too tall for me. I met her several times while I at the NASA complex doing repairs.

Okay you can stop the insults now as I'm setting your posts to ignore on this end. So if you need help and I have the info you are not getting it.

BTW I am single and happy to stay that away. No need to add to the overpopulation either. There is more than enough idiots in the world.
