Have an older "Indy 500" Series lawn tractor. Motor runs & starts but the electric clutch won't engage. Put in new switch, still won't work. Ran wires from battery to electric clutch & it will click like its trying to engage. Would appreciate any suggestions. Bought a new battery for this, hope I can get it going. Thanks!

Export threadDoes it have the three nuts with springs on short threaded studs. You may be able to adjust the clutch by putting a .012 feeler gauge in the slot next to each spring and adjusting the nuts to achieve the proper clearance.
