ECHO has long been known for it's gasoline powered garden tools, but they have joined the cordless ranks with a line of 58 volt lithium-ion battery powered tools.
The neat thing is that they are offering both a 5 year consumer warranty and a 2 year commercial warranty, just as they do with their gas powered tools.
The line consists of a 21" lawn mower, 16" chainsaw, 450 CFM blower, 0.080" / 0.095" dual line bump feed string trimmer and 24" hedge trimmer.
According to the specs, it weighs 57 lbs, which is fairly lightweight. I assume that weight includes the battery. The deck is described as "composite", which is probably similar to Honda's Nexite, and has a lifetime warranty.
Today I purchased the string trimmer & blower. Very impressed so far. I have been using a Stihl gas string trimmer for the past 15+ years.
It would take close to 2 tanks of gas to trim my property with the Stihl. The Echo cordless did it with less than 1 battery charge & still had power to spare.
The cut of the Echo was equal to the gas trimmer, with out the noise, fumes & heat.
I blew off our deck & sidewalk with the Echo cordless blower. It works as well as the Echo gas blower that I had been using.
