I've seen people complaining that they can't get the oil drain hose to turn loose of the fan housing when they go to change the oil on a 702 / 708 engine. To tell you the truth, even with a full set of tools I sometimes have trouble. So I sawed off a 1" length of 7/16 dia steel rod and made this plug. It still sticks in place, but the T-handle makes it so much easier to break free.
There's nothing to hold it in place, so I simply ran a lasso over to the air intake grille. Issue solved.
Another idea after more thinking.....
If you are one of the many who have broken the plastic spigot off of the $80 plastic Fan Housing trying to get this hose off, you could drill a 7/16" vertical hole in the housing where the spigot used to be. Then you can insert the hose from the bottom as before AND the metal stopper through the new hole from the top and the location of the hose will be per OEM.
