Eager-1 Self Propelled

I have a 5.0 self propelled mulcher/bagger. I was mowing and the drive wheels stopped. I checked the belt and it was fine. Evidently the gear box is froze. Is it cheaper or even possible to repair this or buy another gear box? Maybe there are rebuilt boxes available or maybe rebuild kits I can repair it with? Thanks so much!

Looks like parts for that gearbox are no longer available, you may have to try to find one used.

Part number for complete gearbox is 132232 superceded to 48281.

If you want individual parts to rebuild, then go to searspartsdirect.com and look at the diagram to decide what you need.

Ok... I put the mower up on blocks and turned one wheel which turned the opposite wheel. So I'm assuming the wheel gears are fine. When I try to turn the pulley on top of the transmission it wom't move at all andwhen I engage the transmission lever and try to turn the whees by hand, no go. If you are assessing that the transmission is broke could you educate me on how to replace it and where to get one?
