dying battery

ok have a toro timecutter zturn mower replaced my wiring harness due to cuts,splices it was in bad shape. my problem now is I have a red wire coming from my switch to a small fuse box with two fuses and wether I turn off the key or take out the key that wire remains hot and keeps draining my battery but if I take out the fuse it will not start.http://www.lawnmowerforum.com/images/smilies/mad.png does anyone have any suggestions??????

Click on manuals, free download, page 45 for schematic. In the future please post model, serial, as well as all numbers from engine so we be able
to better assist you, the more information you give us regarding equipment the better, thanks.

Make a note of all wires on the key switch remove them from the switch, then see if battery goes down, if battery remains high put one back at a time, until you find the one that's hot as you say, come and tell us here which wire it is. also post up the model number.

Note that the wire comes from the battery + to the solenoid and then to the key switch so therefore it will be live (battery volts)
