Dry grass inside Stiga 536 AE electric mower

I have a SLM 536 AE battery powered lawn mower and have been using it for about two months. I noticed that there's dry grass gathering inside the chassis in front of the motor. I cannot get it out without dismantling the chassis. Is it OK to leave the grass there? How can I prevent the further buildup of the grass? I suspect it's being sucked in when the blade is running.

You are correct air is sucked in to help cool the motor. That’s a common problem with that style of mower. Only thing I’ve seen to help prevent the problem is some DIY guys will take a large round foam pre air filter to stretch over the opening. They must remember to keep it clean.

You could always stretch a pair of your wife's panty hose over the motor. But the neighbors may laugh. :ROFLMAO:

That's not a problem :) The problem is I'm not sure how it would work? the air intake holes are all around the blade axle. The photos:
