Got a mower with a hydrostatic transmission gets around fine, until I engage the blades. Once the blades are engaged and rotating, all forward power is lost and the mower comes to a dead stop. The engine does NOT stall, just no forward movement. Any obvious things I can check for? I'm at a loss, this just started happening recently.
With the hundreds of different brands and models which use hydrostatic drives it will be very difficult to diagnose your problem. If you would take the time to provide us with the brand name, model and serial numbers we would probably be able to help. With out that info we are only guessing which we hate to do.
