I recently bought a Ferris IS700 Zero Turn and I'm having some adjustment issues. Let me start off by saying in the past I always bagged my grass because I like the really clean look of a well kept lawn. The Ferris has probably 50 times the suction/vacuuming power of my old Husqvarna 2148. What's happening is when I mow now the mower is sucking up all the old dead grass plus it's cutting the new grass. The discharge of clippings and thatch is really ugly across my lawn. I'm really disappointed in the look considering what I paid for this mower. Am I just going through a "break in" period with the yard and this dead grass or will this always be an issue? Would a mulching system give me the clean look I want? A bagging system for the Ferris is about 2500 dollars. I'm disappointed that for what I've already invested I don't have the lawn look I want. Has anyone else had to deal with this issue? Does anyone have any suggestions or thoughts? Thanks for reading.
