Dixson zero turn wont move Help!

Hello i have a 1999 zero turn 4515k. the motor that was on it ran but wouldn't stay running. So i put a 18.5 brigs on it. i ran a teathed switch to the battery from the points. i started it and tryed to go and nothing. belts are all on and moving but the mower would not move. i don't have the two hook ups connected because i don't know what goes to what and what dose what. i looked it up and the wire diagram didn't really help. if you can help me that would be great. Have you ever have this mower operating properly, before the engine swap?
