I have a 2015 Dixie Chopper Zee 2 2348 with the 23 hp Kawasaki. I mowed my yard and turned it off and came back later to put it in my shed and it wouldn’t start. Turn the key and just a click. I tried jumping the solenoid and it cranked but didn’t start. I then tried jumping the safety switches and the right drive arm switch when jumped will let the key work but still just turns over won’t start. I don’t see any fuel in the filter and I checked there is no spark when cranking. My question is what kind of safety would kill both spark and fuel?
The fuel pump is vacuum operated. The fuel filter does not need to be full of fuel. Fuel just needs to be flowing. Remove the fuel line from the carburetor and check.
Pull the hose off AT the carb inlet. Should have gas filling up the inner diameter of the hose. Or on a fuel pump engine, gas will pulsate out when you hit the key on. That is if you fuel pump is good.
