Ditch cutting

I have a fairly deep, steep ditch between my lawn and the street. At my age it is becoming more difficult to cut it with my push mower and a using string trimmer takes a long time and doesn’t do a good job.
I’ve been thinking about buying a self propelled mower and would like comments from others about what to get or if there are better alternatives.
I have considered filling it in and may have to in spite of the expense.

Depending on the slope probably don't want to consider any kind of zero turn mower. Lawn tractor would be best and the wider the better.

FWIW - I had a similar situation. If you are just looking for a walk behind self propelled, my el cheapo All Wheel Drive Jonsered works quite well.

For sure you'd want a rear or all wheel drive. And it's a good idea to figure out what side the oil slinger is on inside the motor and keep it downhill if you mow along the ditch. You might have to keep the gas tank topped off to insure supply to the motor.
